Oh no! The running honeymoon (runneymoon?) is over? Here are some ways I stave off running boredom:

1. Enter a 5 or 10 K
2. Get new running clothes, new running music, new running routes.
3. Read Runner's World and look at the picture of the Rave Run. Pretend you are running there.
4. run your regular run backwards (in the reverse direction, not actual backwards running.)
5. Channel GOTR: Make a chart - use incentives - stickers, sparkly pencils, paperclips, smiley face stamps.
6. Use the challenges on Nike plus; I've been pleasantly surprised how invested I've gotten in doing my bit to help Duke not beat UNC in one of the ACC challenges. (Can you believe there's an ACC challenge that is being run by WAKE FOREST runners? Please, girlfriend, do not let that happen!)
7. Put up a map - run from TX to NC, across TX, across the dang U.S. of A. Across the Yukon even!
8. Cross train/strength train/flexibility-ize yourself - now is the time to experiment with other stuff.
9. Remember your goal!!!

Hang in there and good luck, and know that what you are doing is AWESOME.
