Yay, I got my gold star sticker for my first 5 lb lost!! This really was a great week where everything clicked and made sense. Eating, running, sleeping, all of it. Today's run was the first time in a looooong time where, at points, I wasn't thinking about running. It felt smooth and natural and not like I had to talk myself through every step. I'm getting there...

The 2nd Annual AVALON ISLANDMAN TRIATHLON
On Sunday, my hero and one of my favorite moms ever will swim a quarter mile IN THE OCEAN, bike 12 miles and then run a 5k. So freaking awesome.
~ I'll have a couple of cheerleaders waiting for me at the finish line in October. Debbie and Kelly Fisher are heading up to San Fran in October for the big race day. This will be a somewhat redeeming moment for The Cole Fisher Fan Club team that didn't get to relay-run the DC Marathon back in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks. Thanks sweet friends!

hey! rock on, Lu! debbie and I went for a run at 7:15 a.m. this morning. can you imagine us both up and moving at that hour? before I went to work, no less. you were there in spirit and topic of conversation more than once.

I know, Debbie called and said she went and worked out at 4 am and then again with you. Nice work! I miss running with y'all...it's lonely on these TX roads. Any chance you'll get roped in for the marathon trip? ;)
